It’s a Small World After All

April 30, 2011

Some of you may remember way back at the beginning of our trip when we found out that our friend Mary was in Santiago at the same time as us.  Well, we had another random run in – this time in Munich.

As we were walking into Hofbrauhaus in Munich after a long drive from Frankfurt, we ran right into the Corbitts – Sallie, Dan, Katie, and Haley.  Sallie is Mollie’s (my mom’s best friend) sister.  I have known the Corbitts my whole life and we were all shocked to run into each other.  The timing was literally perfect or we may not have seen each other.  It was very fun to run into them and we will all be in Paris at the same time so maybe we will run into them again!

It really is a small world…

    Absolutely amazing.
What amazes me is that your Mom and Mollie didn’t put that together before you all were in the same town.
If you see them in Paris, tell Dan that I said hi. I took him with your Dad to the Master’s one year. I believe he actually played the course some time afterwards.

Glad to see you got to cook some of your favorite home dishes. Good to do things like that along the way to pace yourselves on the international experience. Asia is going to be amazing – as is Africa!
    Ciao,
    Giaccomo
